Tehran, IRNA - Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement says it has targeted an Israeli military base in northern occupied Palestine in a fresh retaliatory strike against the Zionist regime.

In a statement on Saturday, Hezbollah said the rocket attack on the Beit Lid military base was carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah launched a volley of rockets and missiles at Israeli military positions in northern occupied territories.

The Israeli military’s Air Traffic Control Base, located atop Mount Jarmaq (Meron), was hit with a barrage of 62 rockets.

Hezbollah said the rocket attack was the first response to the assassination of senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri in an Israeli drone attack in Beirut.

In his latest speech this week, Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the Lebanese resistance movement has carried out over 670 operations against Israeli positions over the past three months.
