Tehran, IRNA – Turkish officials have attended the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ankara to sign a memorial book in honor of victims of terror attacks that took place in Iran's southeastern province of Kerman on Wednesday.

The Kerman terror attacks took place after two explosions ripped through a route leading to the burial site of Iran’s anti-terror icon, General Qassem Soleimani, as people had gathered to mark the fourth anniversary of his assassination by the United States.

The Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Some foreign ambassadors and diplomats in Ankara and a number of Turkish officials on Friday attended the Iranian Embassy to sign the memorial book of condolence and express condolences and sympathy to the Iranian government and nation over the martyrdom of a number of Iranians in the terrorist attack.

The flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran was raised half-mast in the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkey on Thursday (January 4, 2024).
