Tehran, IRNA – Following a major terrorist accident in Iranian southern city of Kerman, leaders and political officials from different countries have reacted to the incident, condoling with the Iranian government and nation.

In a message shortly after the attck, Russian President Vladimir Putin condoled with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei over the tragic incident.     

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the country’s ministry of foreign affairs also condemned the terrorist bombing in Kerman and condoled with the Iranian people and government.  

Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine has also strongly condemned the terrorist attack.

Ammar al-Hakim, the head of the National Wisdom Movement of Iraq, was another prominent figure who has expressed strong condemnation about the terrorist measure in Kerman which led to the martyrdom of dozens of innocent people.

The political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarallah also issued a statement which condemned the terrorist bombing and extended condolences to Iranian people and leadership.

At least 103 people were killed and 141 were injured in twin explosions outside Kerman’s Martyrs Cemetery on Wednesday. 

The explosions came on the day people held a memorial service for General Qassem Soleimani, the late Iranian commander who was assassinated on January 3, 2020 in a US drone strike in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

Soleimani, who is originally from Iran’s Kerman province, has been buried in the Martyrs Cemetery of the provincial capital.
