Referring to the normalization of relations between Tehran and Riyadh and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s phone call with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi where he congratulated President El-Sisi on re-election to the post, Hassan said that the diplomatic relations between Tehran and Cairo are expected to be fully resumed, Russian news agency Sputnik reported.
He said that during their phone call, the two presidents discussed bilateral issues, as well as the regional developments, including those in Gaza and the Red Sea.
The official predicted that the exchange of ambassadors may occur after Al-Sisi’s inauguration.
He believed that the thaw of relations between Iran and the Arab states and a consequent increase in trade exchanges would lead to further stability and development.
He argued that the resumption of ties between Iran and Egypt will defuse the US claims that Iran is a regional danger and so the Zionist regime will remain the real threat to this region.
