“The Israeli regime has suffered two defeats in a course of over 80 days. The first defeat was on October 7 when Israel collapsed in terms of politics and security in every sense of the word,” the foreign minister said on Saturday, in reference to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm that Palestine’s Hamas Resistance Movement launched against Israeli regime from Gaza.
The second defeat, Amirabdollahian added, has been inflicted on the regime in terms of military and due to the resistance in Gaza.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony in Tehran to commemorate Seyyed Razi Mousavi, a senior advisor of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, who was martyred in an Israeli airstrike in the Syrian capital Damascus on December 25.
The top diplomat hailed the martyr for his “honest efforts to fight terrorism and Zionism” and ensure maximum security at the national and regional level, saying that his path will undoubtedly continue.
“The criminal Zionist regime assassinated him in an unfair way. But this assassination will not stop the Islamic Republic of Iran from pursuing its goal of ensuring maximum security in our country and in the region, rather it will make us more determined in this path,” Amirabdollahian noted.
