Tehran, IRNA – Different Iranian authorities have vehemently condemned the assassination of an Iranian military advisor in Syria by the Israeli regime and vowed a severe and wise reaction to the heinous crime.

Speaker of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf expressed condolences on the martyrdom of Razi Mousavi, who was a senior advisor of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Syria, emphasizing that the brutal Israeli regime will undoubtedly pay a heavy price for the atrocity.

Iranian Defense Ministry Spokesman Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik underlined that the assassination and the bombardment of Syria indicate the terrorist character of the Israeli regime and a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and that Iran will wisely and powerfully respond to the assassination of Martyr Razi Mousavi.

Also, special representative of the Iranian president in Afghanistan affairs Hassan Kazemi Qomi stated that the Israeli regime committed such a major crime because of its miscalculation; so, the Islamic Republic of Iran will choose due time and method of response to this terrorist act in accordance with international law.

Mousavi was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the suburbs of the Syrian capital of Damascus on Monday.
