Tehran, IRNA – Islamic Republic of Iran Navy (NEDAJA) has added two homemade cruise missiles to its fleet amid efforts to boost the combat capabilities of the force in countering threats.

The two strategic cruise missiles, identified as Talaiyeh and Nasir, were added to the NEDAJA fleet on Sunday in a ceremony held in the port city of Konarak, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. 

Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi attended the ceremony in the Navy base, which is located on the Sea of Oman and is home to NEDAJA’s Third Nabovvat Zone

The Navy received other new homemade equipment during the ceremony in Konarak, including the first intelligence helicopter, a new surface-to-surface missile system, loitering drones, and a system for detection and tracking of divers.
