Tehran, IRNA - The spokesman of Yemen's Ansarallah Movement, Mohammed Abdolsalam, said on Sunday night that the cessation of operations of the Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea against Israeli ships depends on the cessation of aggression against Gaza.

"Yemeni operation has a great economic impact on the Israeli enemy," Abdolsalam said.

"We are in contact with active and influential countries with the aim of lifting the blockade of Gaza and stopping the aggression against Gaza," he added.

The spokesman of Ansarallah emphasized that the Red Sea is safe for everyone except the ships associated with the Israeli enemy, and said that the operation of the Yemeni armed forces only targets Israeli ships associated with the ports of the occupying regime.

Abdolsalam also added that "we praise the position of the Chinese company to stop sending its ships to the ports of the occupation regime".

He said that Yemen considers Israel a danger to the Ummah and Islamic countries and is a real threat to the unity of the Islamic Ummah.

Yemen's position towards Palestine is based on a religious, national and moral principle.

The spokesman of Ansarullah added that the issue of Palestine is not negotiable and "we cannot accept what is happening to the people of Gaza".

He concluded whoever wants to stop the naval operation against the Israeli enemy, must lift the blockade of Gaza and bring food and medicine.

During the past weeks, the Yemeni army targeted several ships of the Zionist regime in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait in support of the resistance of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The Yemeni Navy had previously warned that they will continue military operations against Israeli enemy ships and interests until its aggressions on Gaza and its crimes against the Palestinian nation are stopped.

The Yemeni armed forces had previously announced that in response to the occupation regime's military action in the Gaza Strip will target any Israeli ship that is available.
