Amirabdollahian who is in Geneva to attend the World Refugee Forum meeting (UNHCR) met his Lebanese counterpart late on Tuesday.
He termed the continuous consultations between the two countries in various bilateral and regional fields as constructive, adding that Iran and Lebanon are on the same front and the Islamic Republic wants nothing but good for the nation's government and Lebanese resistance.
He described the situation in the region as complicated and, referring to the Palestinian issues, added that it is necessary for the US to put an end to its unlimited support for the Zionist regime and its war crimes against the Palestinians.
Iranian Foreign Minister also emphasized the necessity of continuing maximum efforts to stop the Zionist genocide in Palestine, saying that Lebanon has always been one of the important sides of the anti-Zionist resistance in the region.
He added that despite the crimes and brutal killing of civilians by the Zionist regime under the guise of the unlimited support of the United States, they did not achieve anything important and the Palestinian resistance is in a very good condition.
Amirabdollahian has traveled to the Swiss city of Geneva to take part in a meeting held by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The top diplomat left Tehran for Geneva on Tuesday morning and is expected to deliver a speech at the UNHCR meeting, according to a statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
