Tehran, IRNA - Iran is planning to mass produce the Yasin training jet in an attempt to enhance the efficiency of pilot training programs within the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani has said.

“With full support from the Defense Ministry, this training plane will soon enter the field of training pilots in the country and will undergo mass production,” Ashtiani said on Tuesday during a visit to the flight test stages of the Yasin jet.

The minister pointed out that those pilots who train with Yasin will develop the skills and capability to fly next-generation fighter jets.

This will address concerns within the Iranian Armed Forces about an urgent need for pilot trainees to master various classes of advanced fighter jets, he noted.

Ashtiani said that the addition of Yasin to Iran’s Armed Forces will help significantly reduce the duration of pilot training programs and improve the quality of the overall training cycle.
