- Iran puts into orbit bio-space capsule aboard indigenous launcher

Iran has successfully put into orbit its bio-space capsule with the domestically-built Salman launcher. The 500-kilogram capsule, developed by the Aerospace Research Institute of Iran, affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, was launched to an altitude of 130 kilometers from the Earth’s surface on Wednesday, Press TV reported.

- Israel vows to make up for Oct. 7 ‘defeat’ with assassinations

According to a leaked recording, the head of Israel’s domestic security agency, Shin Bet, has vowed to hunt down members of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in Lebanon, Turkey, and Qatar. Ronen Bar, who has not spoken publicly since October 7, also took responsibility for Israeli security failures that contributed to the Hamas attack, The New Arab reported.

- Yemen: Upholding Muslim honor and supporting Palestinians 

Yemen is a country that’s been grappling with war and siege since 2015. As part of Saudi Arabia’s denigrating campaign, anyone in the country, except for ousted President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi and his small group of protégés, have been unjustly portrayed as uncultured and underdeveloped individuals with little to contribute to their nation and the region. 

- UN chief invokes rare Article 99 over Gaza war

In a rare move, UN Secretary-General Guterres has invoked Article 99 of the UN Charter, forcing the Security Council to address the Gaza war, Al Jazeera reported. Israeli army tanks move towards the center of Khan Younis city after a night of non-stop artillery shelling and clashes around Gaza. Senior Hamas official says “no negotiations” with Israel unless it halts its Gaza offensive; Israeli leaders pledge to press on with the war.

- Israeli plans to widen the war are doomed to fail  

The Israeli regime is exploring new measures in a desperate attempt to distract the world from its bloodbath against children in Gaza and lower the rising international pressure to cease the war.  Israeli shelling has killed one Lebanese soldier in the town of Odeissa in southern Lebanon. It marks the first killing of a Lebanese army soldier by the Israeli military since October 7.

- Salman Carries 500 kg Capsule Into Space

Iran sent up a rocket with a test living space capsule on Wednesday, the Tasnim news agency reported, as the country pressed on with plans to send astronauts into space.
The announcement came 10 years after Iran announced it had sent two live monkeys into space and brought them back safely.

- Envoy Calls for Action to Protect Persian Gulf Ecosystem  

 Iran has called on the coastal states of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman to cooperate on protecting the ecosystems of the waters. “Given the increasing damage and destruction of essential and economically important coastal ecosystems such as mangrove forests, coral reefs and fisheries livelihoods in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea, we strongly encourage the coastal States in the region to work together to protect such ecosystems,” said Zahra Ershadi, Iran’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations.

- Iraq, Iran Hold Joint Judicial Committee Meeting 

The second meeting of the joint judicial committee to counter terrorism has been held in Tehran co-chaired by Secretary of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi and head of the Judicial Supervision Authority of Iraq Laith Jabr. The two sides discussed the case of the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and his companions and the cases of MKO, Daesh, Komala, PJAK and other terrorist groups.
