Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has emphasized the status of Iranians and the need to provide proper and smooth consular services to expatriates.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's new Consul General in Frankfurt Mansour Ayrom.

Ayrom, for his part, presented a report about his mission and elaborated on the plans for consular, economic, scientific, and cultural issues as well as diaspora affairs.

Meanwhile, in a separate meeting with Iran's ambassador to the UAE Reza Ameri, Amirabdollahian referred to the importance of strengthening strategic relations with other countries in line with the policy of promoting cooperation with neighbors.

He hailed Tehran-Abu Dhabi relations and expressed hope that some bilateral executive issues, especially in the economic and commercial dimensions, will be solved with the cooperation of the officials of the two countries.

They also discussed developments in Palestine and Gaza, as well.
