Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Deputy Energy Minister Homayoon Haeri says the country’s installed power plant capacity has reached as much as 92,000 megawatts (MW).

Haeri also put Iran's capacity of renewable energies at 1,100 MW.

He said that there are more than one million kilometers of high- and medium-voltage and distribution networks in the country.  

The official added that Iran is one of the producers of thermal power plants and is exporting its products to different countries.

Some 8,400 MW has been added to Iran’s power plant generation since President Ebrahim Raisi took power in August 2021.
