Iran has inaugurated a state-of-the-art terminal at Kish International Airport in the Persian Gulf to increase the capacity of the airport to provide services to six million passengers per year. Covering an area of 49,000 square meters, the new terminal in Kish is the third largest airport terminal in Iran. The 4-story terminal is located at a height of over 31 meters above sea level and is equipped with 48 passenger check-in counters, a smart system for transferring passenger baggage, advanced airport machinery, 10 escalators, 12 elevators, and a parking lot with the capacity of 520 vehicles.
