Tehran, IRNA – A senior official of the Central Bank of Iran has traveled to Saudi Arabia to hold talks on expansion of banking ties between the two countries.

Mohammad Aram, who serves as CBI’s deputy governor for forex affairs, traveled to Riyadh on Tuesday while leading a high-ranking delegation of banking and government officials.

Aram will hold talks with his Saudi Arabian counterpart to discuss an expansion of forex cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The senior official has made similar trips to China and the United Arab Emirates over the past weeks.
