Abu Ali Al-Askari, head of the security office of Kata’ib Hezbollah, said on Sunday that a visit to Iraq by Blinken, whom he called the war minister of the Zionist regime, would be unacceptable.
“If he comes, we will deal with it with unprecedented measures and escalations,” he said, Sama News reported.
He said the United States and its Western and regional allies are accomplices to the Zionist regime’s barbaric crimes against Palestinians, and therefore, “they are
not human”.
Al-Askari also vowed that the Iraqi resistance would move in the direction of putting an end to US interests in Iraq and the entire region.
The remarks came after Iraqi media outlets said Blinken is scheduled to arrive in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Sunday.
It comes while American military bases in Iraq and Syria have been repeatedly targeted by resistance groups since the Israeli regime launched a brutal military campaign against the Gaza Strip on October 7.
