-- Afghanistan to move up in Iran’s trading partners: Official

The economic advisor to the Iranian president’s special envoy on Afghanistan affairs said that Afghanistan is set to return to the top of Iran’s list of trading partners. Mohammad-Mehdi Javanmard Ghassab also announced the upcoming visit of an Afghan political-economic delegation to Iran.
Looking at the statistics released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), it can be observed that in recent years, China, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan have consistently been the largest customers of Iran’s non-oil products.

--  Protocol signed on transport corridor to Europe through Iran

The protocol of China’s transport corridor to Europe through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey has been signed by the ministers and representatives of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). The signing took place on the sidelines of the first Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) International Transport Forum in Tashkent on Thursday.
The first transport forum of the SCO was held in Uzbekistan, bringing together representatives from the transportation authorities of member countries and over 60 major companies from 15 countries.

--  Iran to construct wind farms to produce 3,000 MW of electricity

The economic council of the Iranian government approved the construction of 3,000 megawatts of wind power, announced head of Iran’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) Mahmoud Kamani.
For the past year and a half, models for the construction of wind power plants along with solar power plants have been presented and discussed by the council.

-- Official: Iran Exports $2.1mn of Mushrooms in 6 Months

The head of the Greenhouse Affairs office of the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture Elham Fattahifar has announced the export of $2.1 million worth of edible mushrooms overseas in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year. According to the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), 1,703 tons of edible mushrooms, valued at 42.1 million, were exported from the country abroad from March 21 to September 22, 2023, Fattahifar stated.
This is while about 5,646 tons of mushrooms, valued at $6.862 million, had been exported from the country in 2022, she said, adding that the mushrooms were exported to countries including Qatar, Armenia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Iraq, Pakistan, Georgia and Bahrain.

--  Official Puts Iran’s Share in Afghanistan Import Market at 35%

The economic adviser of special envoy to Iranian president in Afghanistan affairs Muhammad Mehdi Javanmard Ghassab has said that Iran has a 35 percent share in Afghanistan’s import market, which is a considerable figure in bilateral trade ties.
Javanmard Ghassab stated that Tehran and Kabul enjoy high capacities to expand bilateral trade relations, especially in the fields of technical engineering services, transportation and transit.

--  ECO Members Agree on New Transport Corridor From China to EU Via Iran

The 12th Meeting of Transport Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held in the capital of Uzbekistan on Thursday with the participation of Iran’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Shahriar Afandizadeh.
The agreement on creation of a new transport corridor from China to Europe via Iran, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was signed by the transport ministers and representatives of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tashkent.

-- IRGC chief likens Zionist regime to a dagger plunged into body of Islamic world

The IRGC chief commander on Thursday has likened the Zionist regime’s presence in the eastern Mediterranean to a “dagger plunged into the body of the Islamic world”.  Major General Hossein Salami also said that the Tel Aviv regime acts like a “leverage” for the Western countries who are seeking to pursue their bloody policies through military presence in the region. 

Speaking in a large gathering of Friday imams and Basij commanders, he also described the U.S., Britain, and Israel as "inseparable parts of an obvious conspiracy,” emphasizing that they act in three separate geographical parts of the world but with coherently developed policies. 

--  ICRC should facilitate sending humanitarian aid to Gaza: Iran’s Red Crescent

The Iranian Red Crescent Society has called the International Committee of the Red Cross for facilitating the process of dispatching humanitarian aid to Gaza. Razieh Alishvandi, the IRCS director for international affairs, met with Vincent Cassard, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iran,

The International Committee of the Red Cross should seriously intervene in the clear violation of international humanitarian law and condemn the Zionist regime's airstrikes in the Gaza Strip since it has violated many cases of the four Geneva Conventions, Alishvandi said, IRCS website reported on Friday.

--  Registering natural heritage could boost tourism, official says

Registration of natural heritage sites on the National Heritage List can boost tourism potential in the East Azarbaijan province, the provincial tourism chief has said.  preserving the rich history of the region is vital to prevent it from being forgotten, Ahmad Hamzehzadeh explained on Thursday.

He emphasized the importance of accurately recording Azarbaijan's history to give a complete account of Iran's history. The recent registration of Kandovan Historical Village on the World Tourism Organization's list is a crucial step for the development of the tourism industry in the province, he added.
