Rouhollah Dehghani, Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy at the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is also participating in this meeting.
The 2023 Social Forum of the Human Rights Council is one of the mechanisms of the Human Rights Council, which was established in 2002 (during the existence of the Human Rights Commission), and every year, the Social Forum examines different dimensions of a particular issue regarding the most important international challenges, developments, and concerns related to human rights.
This is the first time that Iran has assumed the presidency of the Social Forum of the Human Rights Council.
