-- Oil Ministry inks contracts worth $34m with NTBFs

The Iranian Oil Ministry has signed contracts worth $34 million with new technology-based firms (NTBFs) in the past year. According to a report by Shana on Tuesday, by the implementation of the signed deals with Iranian startups, the country will save $305 million annually.
The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has signed six contracts, with a total value of $15 million, the report added.

--  Iran’s ceramic, tile production at 720m cubic meters

Over 140 ceramic and tile production units are currently active in Iran, producing 720 million cubic meters of products each year, announced the head of Iran Ceramic Producers Association (IRCPS).
“Today, all kinds of ceramic tiles in different sizes and designs are produced in the country, as the production technology of the ceramic tile industry has been localized,” Morteza Saftarizadeh told IRIB News.

--  Iran, Armenia sign MoU on workforce exchange, economy

Tehran and Yerevan inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to cooperate in the fields of labor exchange, technical and professional training.
Signed by Iranian Labour and Social Welfare Minister Solat Mortazavi and his Armenian counterpart Narek Mkrtchyan, the MoU also covers economic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of petrochemicals, road and construction materials, and medicine.

--  Cancellation of Islamic Art Event in U.S. Sparks Outcry

An exhibit of traditional Islamic art at the Frick Pittsburgh was marketed as a way to bring people together “beyond borders and boundaries.” Instead, its postponement because of the Israel-Hamas war is sowing controversy.
“Treasured Ornament: 10 Centuries of Islamic Art,” was announced by the museum in early October and was slated to open on Saturday, Nov. 4. The touring exhibit featured “fine glassware, ceramics, metalwork, painting, weaponry, weaving and more from countries across the Middle East.”

--  Iranian General: U.S. Commanders in Tel Aviv to Direct Gaza Onslaught 

Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid on Tuesday said that the intelligence obtained by Iran indicates that American military commanders have gone to Tel Aviv to aid and abet the Zionist regime in its brutal atrocities against the people of Gaza.

Addressing a conference of Police officials, General Rashid condemned the Zionist regime’s barbaric crimes against the defenseless Palestinians in Gaza.

--  Envoy Urges ICC to Prioritize Investigation Into Gaza Tragedy

The Islamic Republic of Iran has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to accelerate a legal process dealing with the situation in Palestine, especially the catastrophic conditions in the Gaza Strip. The call was made through Iran’s representative attending the 21st plenary meeting of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Director-General for International Legal Affairs of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Ali Mousavi said that the crimes being committed in Gaza are undoubtedly examples of international crimes under the jurisdiction of the ICC.

--  Iran rises 10 places in terms of economy among 191 countries: IMF

 The International Monetary Fund (IMF), in its latest World Economic Outlook Report dubbed “Navigating Global Divergences”, has positively revised its forecast for Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2023, expecting the country’s economy to grow 3.0 percent this year.

Based on the report, Iranian economy has improved 10 places among the world’s 191 countries to stand at the 90th place above the UK, the Netherland and Hungary. The Islamic Republic stood at the 100th place among the world’s economies in 2022, according to the IMF’s previous reports.

--  Iran seeks single UNESCO tag for historical mosques

 The Iranian tourism minister has said his ministry seeks to win a UNESCO label for a selection of its historical mosques. “We in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts are compiling a dossier for [a selection of] historical mosques for [a possible] registration in UNESCO’s tangible World Heritage list,” Ezzatollah Zarghami said on Monday.

He made the remarks in a conference held in Tehran’s Laleh Hotel, saying that following that designation is at the top of the agenda.

--  Send-off ceremony for Iranian team to 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup

A ceremony was held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Tuesday to send off the Iranian team competing in the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup.Iran, headed by Hossein Abdi, will leave Tehran on Tuesday for Jakarta. The Iranian team are drawn in Group B along with Brazil, England and New Caledonia.

Iran will start the campaign on Nov. 11 with a match against Brazil. The young Persians will also meet England and New Caledonia on Nov. 14 and 17. The 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup will be the 19th edition of the FIFA U17 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football tournament contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
