Tehran, IRNA – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami has said that the Zionist regime experienced the biggest defeat on October 7.

Major General Salami made the remarks in a ceremony in Tehran on Monday.

Referring to the inseparableness of the war and life in the occupied Palestinian territories, Major General Salami said that people, apparatus, and army all live together in this land.

He pointed out that the Zionist regime has tried to create the impression that no one can create insecurity on the borders of the occupied Palestinian lands, while they experienced the biggest defeat on October 7.

Up until three weeks ago, the Zionist regime thought that insecurity and fear were just dedicated beyond the walls and belonged to Palestine, he said, adding that Zionists thought that the US, Britain, Germany, and France were their supporters and no one could reach them.

He underlined that staying in the occupied Palestinian territories is no longer an opportunity for living, but acceptance of war.

Israelis can no longer trust their security apparatus, the army, and even the US, which is always late, the IRGC commander said, adding that the Zionist regime was lucky this time, but it may not be the case next time, that’s why they bombard and kill women and children.

He reiterated that the Zionist regime puts many tanks behind the borders of Gaza, but they do not take a step forward, because the war is not fought with weapons, and it needs men of faith and confident hearts, not anxious hearts and troubled hearts.

On October 7, Hamas launched a surprise operation, dubbed Al-Aqsa Storm, outside Gaza after Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in recent days and a record number of Palestinians were killed by the Zionist regime in recent months.

The Zionist regime responded by pounding the besieged Gaza Strip after formally declaring war against the Palestinian Hamas group.
