According to a Tuesday report by the IRNA, IRNA’s CEO Ali Naderi told his counterpart in Anadolu Agency, Serdar Karagöz that “We follow Anadolou’s news stories. We are sorry for the death of the family of Anadolou’s journalist during the bombing of Gaza and sympathize with you”.
The two sides met on the sidelines of the 51st meeting of the executive and technical boards of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), which is being held in Istanbul from October 22 to 25.
Pointing to the widespread propaganda campaigns of certain Western media outlets against Iran, Maderi asked Anadolu Agency to get first-hand news about Iran from IRNA and other reliable sources so that it can present a real image of Iran to its audience.
He also said the Zionist regime does not adhere to any framework and does not respect the minimum rights of Palestinians.
The Tel Aviv regime has not even adhered to the 1967 borders and has not allowed Palestinians to reside in their own lands, he said, adding that it is natural that the Palestinians would not tolerate this situation.
Karagöz, for his part, welcomed the expansion of professional cooperation between the two news agencies.
He also highlighted the role of fake news in today’s world, such as the news of the killing of children by Hamas, saying Anadolu Agency has 11 sources in Gaza so as to report the truth about the Israeli war on the besieged enclave.
