Bandar Abbas, IRNA – The biggest fuel smuggling gang has been discovered in Hormuzgan, southern Iran, says the chief justice of Hormozgan.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Mojtaba Ghahramani said that the largest fuel smuggling gang in Iran with more than 2,000 smugglers and more than five thousand trucks, trailers, and tankers was identified and dismantled.

Accordingly, by deploying teams to monitor fuel distribution at stations and using cameras in gas stations, the offending trucks and cars that refueled dozens of times in one day were identified.

He noted that the daily profit of these trucks was around one billion rials ($ 2,000) a day.

They stored fuel for heavy vehicles on the outskirts of Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, and then sent this fuel to Minab, a town close by, to be transported to the sea by vans.
