Tehran, IRNA – The Zionist regime’s authorities have concluded that the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah is going to enter into a battle against the regime, according to reports.

According to Channel 13 of the Zionist regime cited by the IRNA on Sunday that the security institutions in Tel Aviv are certain that Hezbollah will enter into a full-scale battle against Israel but wonder when it will happen.

High-ranking Israeli officials have said that “zero hour” is near and a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip would act as a driving force to push Hezbollah into the battle.

Meanwhile, the regime’s Haaretz newspaper recounted the remarks made by former US Defense Secretary Robert Gates during a meeting in 2010 with his Israeli counterpart Ehud Barak about Hezbollah possessing more weapons than most Arab countries.

Haaretz argued that since then, Hezbollah has increased its military strength and its weapons stockpile is very large, both in terms of quantity and quality, and its forces are very experienced from the Syrian conflict.

Tensions have been running high between Hezbollah and the occupying regime ever since the latter launched a war against the Gaza Strip.

In a statement released on Saturday, Hezbollah said it had fired guided missiles at an Israeli military base near the Lebanese border town of Houla in response to the ongoing Israeli assaults against Palestinians.
