During his visit, Mokhber is set to meet with key Belarusian officials including the president, prime minister, and speaker of the Parliament of Belarus. The visit also includes high-level bilateral talks between delegations from both countries.
The one-day visit is expected to culminate in the signing of cooperation documents between Tehran and Minsk, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
Accompanying Mokhber on this visit are several high-ranking Iranian officials including Abbas Aliabadi, the Minister of Industry and head of the Joint Economic Commission; Javad Owji, the Oil Minister; and Mohammad Ali Nikbakht, the Agricultural Jihad Minister.
Mohammad Jamshidi, the Iranian president’s deputy chief of staff for political affairs, highlighted earlier on Sunday that previous bilateral meetings between the presidents of Iran and Belarus, as well as President Alexander Lukashenko’s visit to Tehran last year, indicate a readiness for a comprehensive enhancement of economic relations.
