Shiraz, IRAN – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has said renowned Persian Poet Hafez Shirazi’s poetry possesses such instructive and encompassing contents that can be used in all eras.

The president wrote a message in commemoration of Hafez Day (October 12), emphasizing that culture and literature in Iran have always been full of brilliant lofty human thoughts, and one of the top thinkers of its glorious history is undoubtedly Shams al-Din Mohammad Hafez Shirazi.

Hafez Shirazi is a unique treasure of the Iranian culture and literature that is also an honor for everyone who speaks the sweet Persian language, the Iranian president argued.

President Raisi, along with members of his cabinet, visits Iran’s Fars province on a two-day trip and is scheduled to deliver a speech at a Hafez commemoration ceremony on Thursday evening.

Shams-ud-din Mohammad, known by his pen name "Hafiz", was born in 1325 A.C and died in 1390 in Shiraz.
