Tehran, IRNA – The armed wing of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades has announced that it has fired rockets on two Israeli bases.

In an announcement on Tuesday, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said that it has launched rockets into Israeli-occupied territories, including Zionist’s Sderot settlement, as well as Zikim and Raim military bases.

Earlier, the Palestinian Al-Qassam group announced hitting Zionist's Ashdod and Ashkelon settlements with 120 rockets.

The Qassam Brigades launched the Al-Aqsa Storm operation early on October 7, 2023, in response to crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinians and repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Zionist regime’s foreign minister Eli Cohen has said that more than 100 people have been taken captive by Hamas and taken to Gaza since Saturday when the Palestinian resistance movement launched its unprecedented attack on positions in the occupied territories.

The regime has responded with heavy bombardments in the Gaza Strip, killing 560 Palestinians as of Monday night, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza which is run by Hamas.

The Zionist regime has said that its aerial attacks on the coastal enclave are one of the largest it has carried out there. The regime has also announced that it will impose a “total blockade” on the Gaza Strip, including a ban on admitting food and fuel.
