Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi spoke about the situation in Afghanistan during his speech to the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 18 to 26.

Raisi said today's situation of Afghanistan is another example of the West's interference in the region which he said has led to the deaths of 170,000 women and children in the country.

Iran stresses the necessity of establishment of an inclusive government and the importance of respecting rights of all ethnic and religious groups in Afghanistan, he said, adding that Tehran wants an immediate international action to solve the crisis of Afghan asylum-seekers, particularly those who have traveled to Iran.
