Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met and talked with a group of Iranian expatriates in Lebanon’s capital Beirut.

FM Amirabdollahian met with diplomats and their families, officials, and employees of some Iranian institutions, as well as a group of Iranian expatriates at Iran’s embassy in Beirut Friday night.

In the meeting, some of the audience raised their viewpoints on the Iran-Lebanon relationship and their activities in the Arab country, pointing to economic, trade, and cultural ties between the two countries.

The Iranian foreign minister expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with diplomats, officials, and staff of Iranian institutions as well as expatriates. He emphasized the importance of preserving the national identity of Iranians throughout the world.

The Iranian foreign minister also appreciated his colleagues for their efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between Iran and Lebanon.
