Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Oil Minister, Javad Owji, has announced that the government will be compensating investors in electric public transport projects.

Speaking to reporters after a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, Owji explained that the Ministry of Petroleum will reimburse investors for the fuel they save or its equivalent value.

In addition, Owji shared that Iran is currently producing 3.3 million barrels of crude oil per day. He also mentioned that this figure is expected to rise to 3.4 million by the end of September.
