Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian court's final decision in the case of Safa Industrial Group has been made in the second branch of the special court to deal with the crimes of economic disruptors and corruptors in Tehran, and the accused were sentenced to 77 years of jail.

According to the issued indictment citec by the IRNA on Sunday, the accusations of the defendants are major disruptions in Iran's economic, monetary, and currency systems through major currency smuggling with the illegal transfer of foreign exchange received from Iranian banks in the form of unreal contracts, by presenting forged documents to obtain bank loans, and million-euro, million-dollar and billion-yen frauds.

The Iranian court sentenced Mohammad Rostami Safa to 15 years of imprisonment, deprivation of any government position and reimbursement of money to Iran's banking system in the amount of over €181.7 million, over $ 96.2 million, over ¥ 1.5 billion and nearly 19.5 trillion rials.

Some 30 trillion rials have been reimbursed to the Iranian banking system.
