-- Iran projected to export 9.42m tons of LPG in 2023: Platts

The monthly average of LPG loading over January-June stood at 784,833 tons, according to shipping sources, Platts cFlow ship and commodity tracking software and S&P Global Market Intelligence Network (MINT), as total exports for 2023 are projected at 9.42 million tons if the loading programs hold around current levels or more, according to S&P Global’s calculations.
The annual exports of Iranian LPG exceeds earlier projections by analysts of about 8.3 million tons.

 -- Iran’s exports of eggs top 60,000 tons: Official

Iran has exported 60,000 tons of eggs to target countries since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21), announced Nasser Nabipour, the chairman of the board of directors of Tehran Laying Hens Union on Saturday.
Talking to IRNA, Nabipour said Iran has the capacity to produce 1.6 million tons of eggs annually. Iranian eggs are mainly exported to neighboring countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE, he noted.

Iran, blessed with the majestic Alborz and Zagros mountain ranges, along with a variety of plains and mountainous terrain, boasts an abundance of diverse vegetation. This rich botanical landscape serves as the foundation for the production of a wide array of honeys some with medicinal properties.
Thanks to the remarkable diversity in flora and the varying climates across the country, Iran stands out as a hub for producing some of the finest and most diverse natural honeys found anywhere.
In particular, Damavand county and Lavasanat District in Tehran province have emerged as prominent centers for beekeeping and honey production, benefiting from their strategic locations around the Alborz range. Notably, the natural honeys of Tehran are primarily sourced from Dasht-e Lar village, Rudbar-e Qasran District, Damavand and Lavasanat.

-- Official: No Obstacle Exists for Iran’s Membership in BRICS

Deputy Foreign Minister for economic diplomacy Mehdi Safari on Saturday said that there have been no obstacles to Iran’s membership in the BRICS economic group and the process of Iran’s request to join it is ongoing.
Speaking in a radio interview, Safari pointed to Iran’s request regarding its membership in BRICS and stated, “We are making efforts so that the members of the economic group, including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, will accept Iran’s membership.”

Governor of Taybad Mehdi Davandeh on Saturday said that Iran’s export to Afghanistan reached 150,126 tons worth $44.5 million through the Dowqarun border during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-- July 22).
Iran’s export to Afghanistan stood at 150,126 tons worth $44.5 million through the Dowqarun border during the first four months of the current Iranian year, registering an 8% and 7% year-on-year rise in weight and value respectively, Davandeh said.

-- Iran, India Set to Ink Long-Term Deal on Developing Chabahar Port

Tehran and New Delhi are expected to sign a long-term deal for the development of Iran’s Chabahar Port by September before the Global Maritime India Summit 2023 scheduled to be held in New Delhi in October, two people familiar with the matter stated.
An official of the ports ministry said the contours of the long-term deal will be finalized next month, and an agreement will likely be signed in September.

-- Iran gets Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change membership

 After a hiatus of about 15 years, Iran once again became a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) task force on national greenhouse inventories.

Thanks to the strategies of the Meteorological Organization and diplomatic negotiations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country’s representative was selected once again as a member of IPCC, Sahar Taj-bakhsh, head of Iran's Meteorological Organization, said.

-- Exquisite tiles of Golestan Palace under restoration

An urgent restoration work has commenced on a selection of centuries-old Haft Rang (Seven-Colored) tiles that adorn the premises of the UNESCO-designated Golestan Palace in downtown Tehran.

“40 square meters out of 7000 square meters of Haft Rang tiles that embellish the premises of Golestan Palace will be treated in this round of restoration work,” an official with the World Heritage site said on Thursday.

These tiles were either subject to falling or were separated from their bed due to the wind and storm, Jabbar Avaj said. “We will restore and fix them (in their original places) in this emergency phase, which will be running through September 22, the official said.

-- NIDC digs 36 oil, gas wells in 4 months

National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) dug and completed the digging operations of 36 oil and gas wells during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22), an official with the company said.

According to Masoud Afshar, the deputy head of NIDC for drilling operations, one of the drilled wells was development and the rest were workover ones, Shana reported.

The official stated that during the mentioned time span NIDC managed to dig eight wells more than the figure for the previous year’s same period.
