Oujak Sar wetland in northern Iran

Oujak Sar wetland is located near a village of the same name in an area of 52 hectares some 5 kilometers from the city of Babolsar in Mazandaran Province in northern Iran. The wetland, which is home to rare plant species like Nelumbo nucifera (Indian lotus), was registered in Iran’s list of national natural heritage in 2022. (IRNA photos/Ehsan Fazli Osanlu)
