Tehran, IRNA – Iraqi Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi has urged the expansion of technological relations with Iran, especially in the field of health.

Saleh Al-Hasnawi visited the Iranian Innovation and Technology House and products of health, pharmaceutical, and medical equipment companies at the Tehran International Exhibition on Monday.

Calling for expanding ties with Iran, Saleh Al-Hasnawi underlined that Iran's technologies in the field of health are very advanced and reliable.

Iran and Iraq’s ties are deep-rooted, he said, adding that expanding mutual ties in the economic, trade, and health spheres are effective in strengthening the relations between the two countries.

The two sides are looking for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of medicine, safety, and contagious diseases, he noted.

Saleh Al-Hasnawi reiterated that Iran and Iraq are trying to strengthen bilateral ties in the fields of health, exchange of information, experiences, and technologies, plus discussing the expansion of technological cooperation in the World Health Organization.
