Tehran, IRNA- Renowned Iranian painter Khosrow Hassanzadeh has passed away at the age of 60, the Association of Iranian Painters (AIP) announced in a statement.

With deep sorrow and disbelief, we have learned that the esteemed artist, painter, and member of the Association of Iranian Painters, Mr. Khosrow Hassanzadeh, has passed away,” the statement said on Sunday. 

The AIP extends its condolences to the Iranian art community, esteemed members of the painters association, and the bereaved family, it added.

Born in 1963 in Tehran, Hassanzadeh pursued his studies in painting at Tehran University of Art. Under the guidance of Aydin Aghdashloo, he delved into the realm of painting in the 1980s.

His works have been showcased in numerous countries and are preserved in prestigious art museums worldwide, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the British Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Iran.
