Amirabdollahian made the remarks while speaking to reporters on Thursday as he was wrapping a tour o Persian Gulf littoral states.
The Iranian foreign minister started the tour from Qatar on Tuesday and went on to visit Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE.
Referring to his discussions on the mutual issues of interests with the Persian Gulf countries, Amirabdollahian said that the Iranian delegation and the officials of the host countries had exchanged views on the removal of barriers on trade, economic, tourism, science, and technology cooperation between those states and Iran.
Parliamentary diplomacy was also covered in the meetings, he said.
Iran's top diplomat noted that a plan to establish a forum for dialogue and regional cooperation between north and south of the Persian Gulf was welcomed by officials of the countries he visited during his tour this week.
