Tehran, IRNA – Iran's Seventh Development Plan has commissioned the Interior Ministry of the country to establish a national immigration organization to help streamline affairs related to a growing number of immigrants arriving in the country.

A Monday repot by the IRNA cited Article 85 and Chapter 18 of Iran's Seventh Development Plan, an overarching document that outlines the country's economic and social programs for the next five years, which showed that the national immigrant organization should be be established in Iran until March 2025. 

The Iranian Interior Ministry is entitled to collect legal and illegal immigrants’ data in an integrated online database in cooperation with the Iran's foreign ministry and intelligence ministry and other relevant organizations and departments.

Iran's interior ministry should establish a mechanism for the identification of immigrants within six months from the official launch of the Seventh Development Plan, expected for later this year, in order to streamline measures needed to deport illegal immigrants from the country.
