Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani has said that the United States and other supporters of the Zionists are complicit in the atrocities the “child-killing regime” commits against Palestinians on a daily basis.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, Kanaani emphasized that efforts to integrate the illegitimate regime of Israel into the region equate to American partnership in daily Israeli crimes.

He made the comments a day after Mohammad Haytham Tamimi, a Palestinian toddler who had been shot by Israeli forces on Thursday, died of his gunshot wounds in hospital.

“Mohammad Haytham Tamimi, a two-year-old toddler, is the 28th innocent Palestinian child martyred by the child-killing regime of Israel this year. The support provided by backers of the regime in perpetuating these daily crimes brings legal and international responsibility,” Kanaani wrote in a tweet in Farsi.

He noted that this heinous crime happened at the same time as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken addressed the pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC and reaffirmed Washington’s unwavering support for the Israeli regime.

“His mention of the annual $3.3 billion aid package and the additional $1 billion in extraordinary assistance, along with the ongoing efforts to integrate the occupying regime into the region, signifies America's complicity in Israel's daily crimes,” the spokesman said.

Tamimi was shot in the head on Thursday near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank as he and his father, Haytam Tamimi, were sitting in their parked car outside their home. They were transferred to a hospital, where Mohammad remained on life support until he was pronounced dead on Monday morning.
