Cape Town, IRNA – Foreign ministers of Iran and Gabon have met on the sidelines of the meeting of BRICS group of emerging economies in South Africa.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Gabonese counterpart Hermann Immongault held talks on the issues of mutual interests in the meeting held in Cape Town on Saturday morning.

The Gabonese Republic is a country along the Atlantic coast of Central Africa. The African state enjoys an amicable relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran in both economic and political sectors.

The BRICS Plus is a grouping of original members of BRICS, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, together with other countries that are in the process of joining the group.
