Iran, Pakistan enjoy deep relations: Raisi

Zahedan, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has described the country's relations with neighboring Pakistan as deep, saying ties between the two countries have religious and civilizational roots.

President Raisi made the remarks at a ceremony to inaugurate an electricity transmission line between Iran and Pakistan on Thursday.

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also attended the ceremony.

President Raisi traveled to the province of Sistan and Baluchestan earlier in the day to both meet the Pakistani PM and to inaugurate several infrastructure projects in the region.
