Rahimi, who is in Russia to take part in the International Legal Forum in St. Petersburg, held talks with Chuychenko on Saturday.
The two justice ministers discussed civil and legal agreements already signed between Iran and Russia in the past, on matters such as extradition of criminals and convicts.
Rahimi emphasized the need to strengthen judicial and legal cooperation with Moscow to implement the existing agreements.
Chuychenko, in turn, thanked Rahimi for attending the St. Petersburg forum, and welcomed the Iranian official’s proposal to establish a club for countries under unilateral sanctions.
Addressing the forum on Friday, the Iranian justice minister condemned US sanctions on his country and proposed joint action in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) by independent countries facing unilateral sanctions.
