Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the Zionist regime’s Tuesday terrorist attack on the Gaza Strip which resulted in the martyrdom of three commanders of the Islamic Jihad Movement while scores of other people including women and children were injured.

Kanaani described the Zionist regime’s act of terrorism on the eve of Nakba Day (day of misery) as a sign of the occupying regime’s helplessness and weakness against the heroic resistance of the Palestinian youth in the West Bank and in the occupied Quds.

He said the attacks launched earlier in the day on Gaza were aimed at diverting public opinion from the extremely unstable and critical internal situation of the Zionist regime.

The official said the silence and inaction of the responsible international organizations and Western countries toward the the Zionists’ inhumane actions has allowed the Zionist apartheid regime to continue its criminal acts.

Kanaani added that the so-called advocates of human rights will go down in history as ashamed for failing to oppose crimes by the Zionists.

He emphasized the need for an immediate, effective and coordinated measure by Muslim countries to stop the crime machine of the Zionist regime.
