Tehran, IRNA – Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran Ehsan Khandouzi says that the Iranian government is in charge of following up on a series of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) signed between Iran and Syria earlier this week, adding that two countries will exchange the MoUs next week.

Khandouzi said on Saturday that economic agreements signed between Iran and Syria during Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Damascus earlier this week will encompass issues related to financial, banking and insurance affairs.

He said economic delegates of both countries will meet in the coming weeks to pursue the implementation of the agreements. 

Khandouzi went on to say that the presidents of Iran and Syria have underlined that the two countries should make the utmost use of time to speed up the implementation of agreements signed earlier this week.
