Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian in his meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, said that the participation of regional countries in using new technologies to deal with water shortage is so effective and Iran's export of technical and engineering services in the electric power industry to Iraq has increased.

Iranian minister of energy is in Iraq to partake in the third International Water Conference in Baghdad, aiming to find common solutions to deal with water shortage.

Mehrabian made the remarks in the meeting of Iraqi Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil, adding that there have been significant exchanges in the field of the electric power industry between the two countries.

There are common issues between Iran and Iraq regarding water and electricity and the two sides have many exchanges in this field, he added.
