Tehran, IRNA - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari has announced that a senior trade delegation from Saudi Arabia is scheduled to visit Iran in the coming days.

Safari made the statement on on Thursday while referring to the imminent reopening of diplomatic missions of Iran and Saudi Arabia in the coming days.

According to the Iranian official, a Saudi deputy minister is also expected to partake in the Iran Expo 2023 trade event scheduled for May 7-10.

He said the event can lead to business and trade contracts worth up to $1 billion for Iran, adding that trade and administrative representatives from 60 countries are scheduled to take part in the international event.
