Tehran, IRNA - Iran’s Army is seeking to gain access to more enhanced equipment and precision-guided ammunition in the near future, according to the Iranian Army's Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari.

Heidari made the announcement while addressing a gathering of military attaches of 35 friendly and allied countries in Tehran.

The Iranian Army's Ground Force will enjoy a higher combat power in the near future, he said, adding that smart equipment and the use of precision-guided ammunition is one of the strategies pursued by the force.

He underlined that using smart equipment and precision-guided ammunition, as well as developing effective weapons such as advanced combat and reconnaissance drones, anti-armor weapons, and upgraded helicopters, will be among the strategies and actions used by Iranian army in the future.

During the meeting, military attaches praised the Iranian army's self-sufficiency and its help to regional countries during crises.
