Damascus, IRNA – Comrades of Iranian military advisor Milad Heydari, who was martyred in an Israeli attack, have held a funeral ceremony for the martyr at Sayyidah Ruqayyah Mosque in Damascus, Syria.

A number of Iranian military advisors, Shrine defender Fatemiyoun warriors, and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran took part in the ceremony on Sunday.

Milad Heydari was martyred in a criminal strike by bombers of the Zionist regime on a Syrian military base near Damascus on Friday morning.

The 32-year-old martyr was one of the officers of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), who played a military advisory role in Syria at the official request of the government in Damascus. The martyr has left behind a six-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son.

The IRGC issued a statement on Saturday, condemned the brutal attack and the silence of the international in dealing with the reiteration of aggressions by the Zionist regime.

According to the statement, the criminal and fake regime will receive a proper response to the heinous act.

Two other IRGC military advisors were martyred near Damascus on November 23, 2022.
