Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani has said that the administration of President Ebrahim Raisi seeks to establish a “strong region” in line with its neighborliness diplomacy.

The top Iranian security advisor made the remarks in Tehran on Thursday before embarking on his one-day trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Shamkhani emphasized that provided that all regional states reach to the conclusion that they can achieve sustainable security and stability merely through trying to establish a strong region, new developments can hopefully be attained in bilateral and multilateral relations.

He went on to say that there are numerous economic, political and security commonalities between the UAE and Iran, which should be enhanced by constant consultations between high-ranking officials of both nations.

Shamkhani along with Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Mohammed-Reza Farzin, head of the foreign intelligence organization of the Intelligence Ministry of Iran, as well as the aide to the foreign minister for Persian Gulf Affairs left Tehran for the UAE.
