Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian plane carrying 20 tons of humanitarian aid landed in Turkiye simultaneous with the arrival of Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in the neighboring country on March 8.

The plane landed at Sanliurfa, southeastern Turkiye, to help the quake-hit people.

Iranian foreign minister arrived in Turkiye on Wednesday to inspect the quake-hit areas in the country.

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Turkiye and Syria in February, claimed the lives of over 50,000 people and injured near 130,000 more.

Iran has also sent 15 plane loads of humanitarian supplies to the Syrian quake victims, the last one of which landed in Aleppo on March 3.
