Tehran, IRNA – Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi said here in Tehran that the IAEA will keep working with Iran.

Grossi on Saturday made the remarks after his second round of talks with Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), in Tehran, adding that the IAEA will keep working with Iran and that he had had a meeting with Iranian elite scientists.

Referring to the details of the negotiations, he added that two issues are very important.

The first one is that expectations are high, and the presence of a large number of media here shows how important this issue is, he said, adding that the second one is related to technical and scientific cooperation that can be done between Iran and IAEA.

*** All countries must be members of the NPT

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)  in his remarks in the press conference, in response to a question about the monitoring of Iran's nuclear facilities and at the same time the lack of these inspections on the Zionist regime's nuclear program, said: Of course, the question is important and the issue is that the IAEA's inspections of countries and their nuclear facilities are based on the both sides legal agreements.

Grossi said :The Islamic Republic of Iran is a member of the NPT and the countries that are members of this treaty have safeguard agreements with the IAEA.

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency added: I ask the Iranian society to understand that we conduct our own inspections based on these agreements and security, and as the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency if I want to treat a country more fairly and treat a country unfairly; I am not the one who determines where the inspector should be inspected, we do this based on the agreements we have with the countries.

He emphasized that of course, there are countries that are not members of the NPT, and the Zionist regime is one of them, therefore, we have a different agreement with them, it is not related to the Zionist regime, but to other countries as well.

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency emphasized: Let me say in the end that it is very important in my opinion that all countries in the world should be members of the NPT treaty.

*** IAEA members publish reports on Iran; I cannot check all members

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was asked about why the IAEA could not stop the leak of information related to Iran's nuclear program in the Western media, and he said: Of course, before anything else, I will announce that whenever there is news about the leak of the reports.

I hear confidentially, I get very angry and frustrated and it's an unpleasant experience for me, but give me the right, as adirector  general, I cannowt check all the members because these reports are in the hands of all the members and they do it.
