Major General Seyyed Abdul-Rahim Musavi, the commander in chief of IRI Army said in his meeting with Iraq Defense Minister General Sabet Muhammad Saeed Reza Al Abbasi that regional security can only be established in cooperation between regional countries.
Musavi expressed delight that such meetings contribute to further closeness between the two nations of Iran and Iraq, adding, "The Iranians love the the Iraqi nation wholeheartedly, and one reason for this love is the existence of the holy shrines of Shi'a imams (AS) in Iraq, and this feeling is further highlighted in Arbaeen annual rallies."
The army commander said, "We always pray to Almighty Allah for evermore grandeur, progress, stability and security of the great Iraqi nation, considering it our own grandeur, progress, stability and security, and do anything to ensure them."
He also said that 8 Iraqi students were enrolled in IRI Amry Commanders Training University's highest level, graduated and returned to Iraq after graduation.
The defense minister of Iraq, too, appreciated the IRI Army hospitality and appreciated the role played by Iran in campaign against Takfiri terrorists, and especially the ISIS, arguing, "We are witnesses to the braveries of the Iranian combatants in fight against ISIS, and their fight side by side with us, and getting martyred."
He commemorated the names and memories of two great resistance martyrs Haj Qasem Soelimani and Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis, arguing, "No hurdle can harm our two countries and two nations' brotherhood and friendly relations, which I hope will further expand."
General Sabet Muhammad Saeed Reza Al Abbasi said that after the long war with Takfiri terrorists, the Iraqi government is determined to reconstruct the Iraqi armed forces, and Iraq will definitely use the precious experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran in that process.
